At the afternoon of March 3, the public's eyes focused on the annual "Two Sessions" again, and that "China's political season” was a hot word entries. For the plastics industry," green development "and" food safety "were undoubtedly the key points.

"Green development" runs through the beginning and end of the plastic industry. As the saying goes, gold and silver can still not compare with green water and castle peak. At present, there is a serious white pollution, so it is gradually turning necessary that to combine plastic industry with "green development ". Although the policy “plastic limit” has been carried out for so many years, but apparently did not reach the public's expectations. If plastic industry wants to go further, it must be inserted the "green development" idea.

It was pointed that we should be forced to promote the usage of biodegradable bags. The overuse of plastic bags and improper recycling caused irreparable environmental pollution. What’s more, it was  non-degradable shopping bag manufacturers’ rampant production that makes it difficult to carry out “plastic limit” effectively. The session suggested that we should enhance the intensity of law enforcement, and law enforcement department has to clamp down on illegal non-degradable packaging manufacturers, besides, biodegradable packaging production and sales should be encouraged, and the government need to enforce the use of biodegradable packaging.

“Food safety” is related to plastic industry’ future.

Research estimates that there are about 4 million to 12 million tons of plastic putting into sea each year, known as pollutants of the plastic particles was snorted by the Pacific oysters and other Marine bivalve , then we humans consumes the shellfish and other Marine creatures containing plastic particles. For a man who often eat shellfish, every year may eat up to 11000 plastic particles. The size of the plastic particles is under 5 mm, and most of them are very small, even the naked eyes cannot see. So, these tiny plastic particles eventually could lead to serious harm to human body health.

From the viewpoint of "green development" and "food safety", plastic industry must be combined with public opinion to develop in a green way, to strengthen the force of plastic processing. With the law’s enforcement, the enterprise’ determination and the general public’s consciousness, then the plastic industry can take a road of green and security.
