Slovakia (officially the Slovak Republic, Slovenská republika) is an inland country in Central Europe. It is bordered by the Ukraine to the east and Hungary to the south, Czech Republic and Austria to the west, Poland to the north. The Slovak climate lies temperate zones between oceanic climate and continental climate. The country has convenient transportation and rich tourist resources. It also owns the largest number of castle in the world.
After Independence in January, 1993, the country launched market economy, strengthened macro-control and adjust industrial structure. In recent years, Slovak government propels law-making, improves investment condition, tries their best to attract foreign investment, and gradually develops auto-oriented, electronic industry-oriented and export-oriented economy. The main industry sectors of the country are iron and steel industry, food industry, tobacco production, transport, petrochemical industry, mechanical industry and auto industry. Their main food is wheat, corn, oil products, potato and beets. It beomes a member of NATO in Mar.29, 2004, a member of EU in May 1, a member of the Schengen Area in December 21, 2007, a member of Euro Zone in January, 2009. The real estate investment projects include residence areas and stadium areas.
