Bangladesh

The People's Republic of Bangladesh, referred to as the Bangladesh for short, is a South Asian country located in the north part of the Bay of Bengal. It neighbors with Myanmar with a small part of the southeast mountains and adjacent to India on the east, west and north, and there are a large number of enclaves on the northern boundary, with the total area of the country being 147,570 square kilometers. In June 2015, India and Bangladesh reached a new border agreement, and Bangladesh received 111 enclaves with a total area of 170 square kilometers, and residents inside the enclaves were free to choose their nationality.

The Bengal is one of the ancient peoples of the South Asian subcontinent. The earliest inhabitants of the Bengal region are Asians. In 1757, Bangladesh became a British Indian province, and after partition between India and Pakistan in 1947, it belonged to Pakistan and was known as East Pakistan. In 1971, it broke away from Pakistan and declared its independence.

Bangladesh belongs to the subtropical monsoon climate, and its coastal area belongs to monsoon tropical steppe climate. River channel is densely covered and river transport is developed, during the rainy season it gets flooded easily, and tropical hurricanes often occur. Minerals include natural gas, coal, titanium, zirconium, etc., and jute is the main source of Bangladesh’s economy.

Bangladesh is one of the most populous countries in the world with the highest population density and in the mean time it is also one of the poorest countries in the world.
