Brunei

Brunei, known as Brunei Darussalam in full, is also called the Brunei Islamic monarchy, and it is an autocratic monarchy.

Brunei is located in southeastern Asia and northwest of the island of Kalimantan, neighbors with China's South China Sea in the north, borders with Malaysia's Sarawak state on the east, south and east sides, and was separated into two unconnected parts by Linmeng of the state of Sarawak. The coastline is about 162 kilometers long and has 33 islands with a total area of 5,765 square kilometers. It has a tropical rain forest climate.

Brunei’s ancient name is Bo mud. The Islam was introduced in the mid-14th century, and then the Sultanate was established. In 1888 it became the protectorate of Britain, in 1941 it was occupied by Japan, and in 1946 the United Kingdom resumed the control of Brunei. On January 1, 1984 it became completely independent.

Brunei is a country with crude oil and natural gas as the main economic pillar, accounting for 50% of the country's gross domestic product. In Southeast Asia, oil reserves and production rank second only to Indonesia. Brunei is one of the richest countries in the world, in 2011 the per capita GDP hit 48,333 US dollars, ranking sixth in the world.
