Switzerland

Switzerland, known as the Swiss Confederation in full, is one of the Central European countries. It is divided into 26 states. Switzerland neighbors with Germany in the north, France in the west, Italy in the south, and Austria and Liechtenstein in the east. Most of the territory is plateau and mountain and it is called "the roof of Europe".

Switzerland is rich in tourism resources and it is also called the “World Park”; Bern is the seat of the federal government and has been neutral for quite a long time. It is a permanent neutral country and since 1815 has never been involved in any regional and international wars including the first and the second World War. But in the mean time it also  participates in international affairs, with many international organizations headquartered in Switzerland.

Switzerland is a highly-developed capitalist country. Its per capita GDP has always been ranking among the top in the world, second only to Luxembourg and Norway in Europe. Switzerland is also one of the world's most stable economies. The long-term nature of its policies, the security of the financial system and the secrecy of banks make Switzerland a safe haven for investors who are intended to avoid taxes. As a result of the developed financial industry, the service industry also occupies an increasingly important position in the Swiss economy.

On October 28, 2015, the 70th session of the United Nations General Assembly elected members of the United Nations Human Rights Council, and Switzerland was elected with a term from 2016 to 2018.
