Ireland is a western European parliament republican country, it is close to the Atlantic Ocean in the west, neighbors with the Irish Sea in the east, separated by the sea with the United Kingdom, and serves as the gallery from North America to Europe. Ireland maintains fairly good natural environment and is known as "Emerald Island," and the country is tree-lined with rivers crossing by and grass scattering all over, so there it is also called "Green Island" and "Emerald". Its university education is very mature, and its capital Dublin has been renowned as the University City since the Middle Ages. The domestic climate is mild, and the temperature is relatively balanced in all parts of the country. May  and June are the periods with the most adequate sunshine in a year and therefore Ireland is suitable for travel.

Irish people belong to the Celts and are the heirs of the first generation of residents of the continent. In 1922 Ireland become independent from the British colony and then became a permanent neutral state.

Ireland is a highly-developed capitalist country and is also a member of the European Union, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, the World Trade Organization and the United Nations. Besides, it is also one of the fastest-growing countries in the world in terms of economy, and has won the name of "European Tiger" in the world thanks to its advanced economy.
