Seychelles
Seychelles, known as the Republic of Seychelles in full, is an archipelago country located in the Indian Ocean in the eastern part of Africa. On June 29, 1976 Seychelles declared its independence and established the Republic of Seychelles, making itself a member of the Commonwealth. Half of its territory is nature reserve area, hence the country enjoys the reputation of "Tourist’s Paradise" in the world.
Seychelles’s economy is underdeveloped, and its industrial and agricultural base is very weak, the general people rely on agriculture and fishery, and keep many poultry and livestock. Other aspects of national income is most dependent on the consumption of inbound tourists.
In 2011, Seychelles invited China to set up a military base in Mahe Island to strengthen the fight against pirates.
