Pakistan
Islamic Republic of Pakistan, referred to as Pakistan for short, means "holy land" and "halal country." More than 95% of the residents believe in Islam, and it is a multi-ethnic Islamic countries. Mandarin is Urdu.
Pakistan is located in the northwest of the South Asian subcontinent, it is close to the Arabian Sea on the south, borders with India on the east, adjacent to China on the northeast, borders with Afghanistan on the northwest and neighbors with Iran on the west. The coastline is 980 kilometers long. The south part has a tropical climate, and the rest is subtropical climate. Its capital is Islamabad and its former capital of Karachi is the largest city.
Pakistan was originally part of British India. On August 14, 1947 the British India and Pakistan parted for governance, and Pakistan became an autonomous province of the Commonwealth. On March 23, 1956, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan was established.
Pakistan is a fast-growing developing country and a member of the World Trade Organization, the Organization of the Islamic Conference, the Group of 77, the Non-Aligned Movement and the Commonwealth.
