Samoa

Samoa is formerly known as "West Samoa", it is the center of the Polynesian Islands, is a former German colony, became independent in 1962, and changed its name into "Samoa Independence" in July 1977. It is now a member of the Commonwealth.

It is located in the southern part of the Pacific Ocean and the western part of the Samoa Islands, and it is composed of two main islands of Savoy and Ubalu as well as seven small islands. Its land area totals 2,934 square kilometers, the water area totals 120,000 square kilometers, most of its territory is covered by the jungle and it has a tropical rain forest climate. Samoa has a population of about 174,000, 90% of which is Samoa which belongs to Polynesian race with light brown skin, they are fat in shape, honest and simple and speak Samoan and English.

Samoa's economy is dominated by agriculture, and it produces coconuts, cocoa, bread fruits and bananas. Its industry has small light industry and agricultural products processing industry. Tourism is also one of Samoa's main economic pillars. It is one of the least developed countries published by the United Nations.
