Chile

The Republic of Chile is located in the southwest part of South America and the western foot of the Andes. It neighbors Argentina in the east, borders Peru and Bolivia in the north, is close to Pacific in the west, and faces Antarctica across the sea. It is the world's narrowest and longest country in the world with a land area of 756,626 square kilometers. As a member of the Association of South American Nations and is regarded as a ABC power together with Argentina and Brazil.

Chile has very rich mineral resources, forest resources and fishery resources. Chile has the most abundant copper resources in the world and is also the world's biggest copper producer and exporter, and enjoys the reputation of "Kingdom of Copper". The Atacama desert is the world's driest place. In addition, it is the only country in the world who produces saltpeter. Chile also ranks high in terms of press freedom, human development index and democratic development etc. Chile’s education is highly-developed, and its education is generally recognized in developed countries. Because it is located in the southernmost of the American Continent, faces the Antarctica across the sea, and Chileans often call their country as "Heavenly Country".

Chile has high competitiveness and quality of life, a stable political environment, a globalized, free economic environment, and a lower sense of corruption and a relatively low rate of poverty. It is a high-income economy rated by the World Bank Group. According to some criteria (such as the Human Development Index) it can be counted as a developed country. In 2010, Chile became the first OECD member of South America.
