Nigeria

The Federal Republic of Nigeria, located at 6 ° 27'N, 3 ° 24'E, is in the southeastern part of West Africa at the culmination of the west bank of the Gulf of Guinea. Its neighboring countries include Benin in its west and Niger in its north, borders Chad for a small porportion of its territory in the northeast separated by Chad Lake, adjoins Cameroon in the east and southeast, and borders on Atlantic Gulf of Guinea in the south.

Nigeria has the largest population in Africa with a total population of 173 million, accounting for 16% of the total population of Africa and Nigeria is the largest economy in Africa. In 2013, Nigeria's gross domestic product (GDP) was US $ 509.9 billion.

Nigeria is a big power in terms of energy resources in Africa, and is Africa's largest oil producer and exporter. Up to 2014 its proven oil reserves ranks second in Africa and tenth in the world; its proven natural gas reserves ranks first in Africa and eighth in the world; 34 of its proven 76 kinds of minerals have commercial exploitation value.

Nigeria's political situation remains stable and since the implementation of democratic politics the social development has maintained a stable condition. However, as domestic racial and religious conflicts get intensified and terrorist activities become more and more frequent, the security risks that Nigeria faces are keeping on rising.
