The Republic of Colombia is located in the northwestern part of South America. It is adjacent to the Pacific Ocean in the west and the Caribbean in the north. It is connected to Venezuela in the east and Brazil in the southeast, and it borders Peru and Ecuador in the south and Panama in the northwest. It is a member of the Association of South American Nations.

Its population is mainly dominated by Indo-European mixed. The west has a coastal plain, the western, central and eastern parallel to the Cordillera Mountains which constitute the plateau, the mountains have broad valleys, the southern region has a series of volcanic cone, the northwest part is alluvial plains in the lower reaches of the Magdalena River, its waterways are diverse and the lakes are widespread. Colombia’s domestic economy, transportation and tourism are developed and Columbia is a resource-rich developing country.

Colombia has a long-term macroeconomic stability and a promising growth prospects for a diversified economy. Colombia is a medium power with the fourth largest economy in Latin America, one of the six civilians, and also the world's emerging market and it recognizes dual citizenship.
