Honduras, whose full name is Republic of Honduras, is a mountainous country in North America. It borders Guatemala, El Salvador and Nicaragua and lies between the Pacific and the Caribbean with coastline.

The nationals of the country are mostly mixed race, so most of its people believe in Catholicism. In Honduras, music is quite popular, and it is also rich in mineral resources, such as gold, silver, coal and antimony, etc., of which silver reserves rank first in Central America.

Honduras is the most prominent country with fractal terrains in Central America, and its land is suitable for planting of coffee and bananas, which are important export products. In 1998, Hurricane Mitch hit the land, killing nearly 6,000 people and destroying most of the country's infrastructure and farmland.
